FLNG
Floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) vessels are similar in function to floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels but are able to extract, liquefy, store and offload hydrocarbons in gaseous state. FLNGs provide companies with a more mobile and economic option for producing natural gas because all processing is done at the gas field, minimising pipeline and pumping machinery costs to onshore processing facilities. FLNGs are also mobile, and can be re-deployed to other locations.
