Heatex achieves registration to ISO 9001 : 2000
Following the successful implementation of a transition programme from the previous standard, Heatex are pleased to announce that we have been awarded certification to ISO 9001 : 2000 – the latest internationally recognised Quality Management System Standard.
Heatex has obtained further North American approval of process heaters for use in hazardous locations. Having successfully passed further extensive and rigorous compliance testing, international approval of the Heatex FP range of process heaters for use in hazardous locations has been extended to include comprehensive certification for North America covering Class 1, Div 1, Groups A, B, C and D; Ex d IIC and AEx d IIC for Temperature Codes / Classes T1 to T6.
Automated Drawing System -
In an effort to reduce drawing production and editing time, Heatex have introduced PTC’s 3D design solution, PRO ENGINEER. Coupled with a bespoke user interface, PRO ENGINEER now allows contract drawings to be generated automatically by extracting data directly from the sales design datasheets.
New range of Flameproof Air Warmers introduced -
Heatex introduce the new range of EEx‘d’ flameproof AIRWARMERS, available in early 2004, the new range compliments and extend the diversity of our existing ‘FAW’ range. The standard range will cover wattages from 500W to 2000W in T3 and T2 temperature classifications. In addition, there will also be a range of T4 units available.

The FAW range of EEx‘e’ Airwarmers has been very successful with the product being sold across the globe, from Brazil, Canada, Europe, Russia and as far a field as Australia, with the production team ensuring that stock levels are constantly maintained.
Major contract awards -
Heatex have won an order to supply various High Pressure Stainless Steel heaters to Shell Nigeria for the Bonny Terminal Integrated Project. The project scope consists of 2 x 100 kW 1500 lb gas heaters, 2 x 600 kW 600 lb gas heaters and 2 x 145 kW 600 lb gas heaters, all due for delivery in January 2004, together with associated Control Systems to suit.
ERHA FPSO Project –
Nigeria for Esso: Heatex are currently supplying a 2 MW heating medium skid consisting of the heater, skid, all interconnecting pipe work, valves and control system all mounted on one common skid. The package has been designed by Heatex and clearly demonstrates our capabilities to design bespoke heater packages to suit any specifications or client specific requirements. The complete order also consists of several start up fuel gas heaters and turbine heaters complete with control systems.
