Following an incident it has come to our attention that commissioning and preservation requirements for our equipment are not fully appreciated on site (in some cases they are totally ignored) and as our records show that your equipment may not yet be in service we write to advise you of the importance of preserving, installing and commissioning your Heatex heater fully in accordance with the Installation, Operation and Maintenance Instructions supplied with the heater. This includes the correct setting up and testing of the associated control system and safety trips.
This is essential to ensure that your heater can be safely brought into service in a hazardous area and to prevent invalidating the certification and warranty.
Part of this requirement is the completion of the ICMS form in Appendix C of these instructions. We have reviewed our documentation for commissioning, preservation and start up of Heatex equipment and checklists that make it easier for customers to comply with this requirement are now available here along with comprehensive instructions.
On completion of commissioning, these completed checklists must be emailed to Heatex at commissioning@exheat.com within 21 days for review and acceptance in accordance with the covering instructions to enable warranty to be maintained.
