Certification
Heatex completes certification of Class 1 Div 1 Group B,C,D Process Heaters for NEC applications. The contract with SLP Engineering was for Conoco and The Polar Lights Company in Russia. It is envisaged that this expansion to our certification range will enhance our position as a global supplier of process heating equipment, furthering our goal to meet worldwide standards.
Hungarian certification to be extended. As a result of recent contract success it has been decided that Heatex will expand its existing Hungarian certificates to include our complete range of FP/BFP EExd enclosures.
Major Contract Awards
Heatex has won a major order to supply fuel gas heaters for Statoil's Kristin project Offshore Norway, the largest contract to come from the Norwegian sector during 2002. Heatex is proud to provide continued support to Statoil and AkerKvaerner.
Heatex has won a contract to supply Sime Sembcorp Engineering with three 350kW oil heaters for the B11 project in Malaysia.
Heatex has been successful in winning an order to supply numerous fuel gas heaters, up to 1.2 MW, for the AIOC Offshore Platforms C and WP platforms in Azerbaijan. This award follows previous orders for the Sangachal terminal and DQ platform.
Received during the month of October was the second order from Bechtel, London for the Offshore phase of the Hannibal and Miskar Project in Tunisia. Heatex has successfully completed manufacture of Fuel Gas Heaters for the first onshore phase of the project.
Contracts Awarded in Japan
Heatex has received its first major contract from JGC Corporation in Japan for the supply of various heaters for the Western Libya Gas Project. This follows recent success in winning orders from Mitsui and Toyo.
New Personnel
Heatex is pleased to announce the appointment of John Van Ravenswaaij as European Sales Manager covering Netherlands, France, Belgium and Germany. John, who has over 20 years experience within the Industry, aims to strengthen our market presence within Europe.

Congratulations were received from Halliburton Singapore's engineering office "for the continued support and excellent performance they received from Heatex during the supply of electric fuel gas heater and associated control equipment for the Belanak FPSO Project."
