EXHEAT Supplies Electric Bitumen Flow Heater & Thyristor Control Panel to Suncor East Tank Farm Development Project

Watton, UK  - EXHEAT Ltd, one of the world’s leaders in the design and manufacture of electric process heaters and control systems for Hazardous Areas, is pleased to announce it has been awarded a contract to supply two 755kW Electric Bitumen Flow Heaters & Thyristor Control Panels to the Suncor East Tank Farm Development Project.

This tank farm development is located in the Athabasca oil sands region. The project will provide storage and blending for hot bitumen in preparation for pipeline transport and refinery use.

EXHEAT’s products will be supplied CSA certified. The CSA certification mark ensures that equipment has been tested to Canadian standards and meets the requirements of the applicable CSA standard.
