Ex Services Commissioning Engineers now CompEx Trained

The role of a Site Service Engineer is crucial to the Ex Services team and it is essential that our engineers are trained to the highest industry standards possible. As well as extensive product experience and training all EX Services Engineers have attained CompEx certification.

CompEx is a competency validation initiative, jointly developed by the Engineering Equipment and Materials Users' Association (EEMUA) and JTL, the UK's leading work based learning provider. Based upon the IEC International Standards, primarily BS EN 60079 - 10; 14 & 17, JTL is now accredited by UKAS to ISO/IEC 17024 : 2003 to provide certification.

The IEC Standards are at the heart of all CompEx delivery to ensure international conformity and coordination of safe working practices.

The CompEx Scheme Governance secures impartiality by representation from the below organisations and is supported by the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) : - EEMUA members as Major Users in the Oil & Gas and Chemical industry

- Association for Petroleum and Explosives Administration (APEA)
