EXHEAT Supplies Hazardous Area Enclosure Heaters for Fixed Fire Fighting Systems

02 Jan 2007

With the spread of oilfields into areas with more extreme cold weather conditions, there has been a requirement to heat the enclosures containing controls and valves for the fixed fire fighting systems to prevent freezing using ATEX Certified Hazardous Area Enclosure Heaters and Air Warmers.

Working with the installation companies EXHEAT has been supplying the ATEX Certified ‘HEF’ self regulating Hazardous Area enclosure heaters and ‘FAW’ Hazardous Area air warmers for use in the cabinets and control stations where it is important that the equipment contained remains ready for immediate use what ever the outside ambient temperature.

Any Hazardous Area Enclosure heaters or Air Warmers installed within the zoned area must be selected on the basis of the Categories set out in Directive 94/9/EC. EXHEAT ‘HEF’ Enclosure Heaters and ‘FAW’ Air Warmers are used throughout the world where Ex protection is required.

EXHEAT personnel are happy to advise on ATEX certified Hazardous Area Enclosure Heaters and Air Warmers that can be used in Zoned areas, once risk assessments have been carried out. EXHEAT hold stock ranging from 30W enclosure heaters through to 3kW rated Air Warmers suitable for larger cabinets and control stations and our sales team are happy to recommend the appropriate size heater for your application.
